Summer is officially here, and boy is it HOT! If you are flying at the field, please remember to use sun screen and appropriate protective clothing and keep hydrated! A lapse of attention can ruin a perfectly good flying day.
If you need water it is available in the canteen area in the small black refrigerator behind the counter. Please leave a dollar for each bottle to offset costs.
Welcome to the RCACF Flying Club, (Don Lowe Field), the premiere Remote Control aircraft flying field in the Orlando area! Founded in 1952, (AMA charter # 996), RCACF club members have been flying RC aircraft for over 70 years! At our field, we fly electric, glow, gas, and turbine powered aircraft. We mostly fly airplanes, but we do have dedicated areas to fly drones and helicopters as well. We are the home of the annual RCACF Tangerine Airfest™! | Upcoming Events

Come Visit Us
Our flying field is a wonderful piece of real estate, approximately 50 acres in size located at 203 W Keene Rd, Apopka, FL 32703. We have a massive paved 700 foot x 50 foot runway that runs north and south.
Not ready to join? That's ok, come out and see what it is all about!
We have plenty of parking and a covered seated area behind the members only fence for guests to come and watch at any time.
Bring a lunch, come hang out and watch the model airplanes fly! Fun for the whole family, bring your kids, its a great no cost family activity. You can bring your pets too if they are on a leash, quiet and kept behind the spectator fence.
The field is open when a member unlocks the entrance gate. Usually at least one member is at the field between 10am and 5pm (sometimes earlier) Monday through Sunday. You can also check out the on-field webcam to see how many cars are in the parking lot. If it is windier than 12 mph we usually don't fly.
We also have a monthly club meeting usually on the second Saturday of the month at 10am. Visitors are welcome.
